Kiwis for kiwi

We believe in the beauty of nature, and part of what makes New Zealand so beautiful is its unique wildlife. We are proud to support conservation charity Kiwis for kiwi, an initiative that works to preserve this iconic yet endangered species.

This month we were lucky enough to take part in a kiwi release on Mototapu Island. Shoes scrubbed clean, bags checked clear of unwanted visitors and sealed, we ventured across the Auckland harbour with three very special feathery guests waiting for their new home. There are about 40 kiwi on Mototapu Island, and we feel privileged to have been involved in the latest release.

Winston in the Natures Goodness office loves to play at the dog park in Pokeno, just south of Auckland. This is a fully-fenced area where dogs can roam off-leash and meet other pooch pals. Winston is below, enjoying the park.

You can find more information on dog-friendly parks in this area on the Waikato District Council website.
What is your favourite dog park or other off-leash pup play area? Let us know, and if your spot is featured in the next newsletter you'll win a bag of Natures Goodness Dog Treats.
